I think this partnership will help us educate our affiliates across the country to the importance of building a house that is usable by the families and which, by its very nature, will be easy to clean and the families will be able to keep clean at a very minimal expense.
-- Millard Fuller, Founder and President, Habitat for Humanity International

TPFH Program

Tile Partners for Humanity is a 501c3 organization based in Norcross, GA. It formed in December 2002 as a partnership between the tile industry and Habitat for Humanity International, an ecumenical non-profit working to eliminate substandard housing around the world. The Tile Doctor.com and Ceramic Tile Institute of America worked with HFHI to create the partnership, which serves to raise awareness of Habitat within the industry and to solicit donations of materials, labor and other support for Habitat projects.

TPFH made a commitment, on behalf of the industry, to provide a total of $1,250,000 worth of tile, tile materials and labor to Habitat for Humanity projects over five years. The pledge covers the five calendar years of 2003-2007. In its first year, TPFH partners provided in excess of $350,000 worth of products and labor, $100,000 over the initial projected goal of $250,000.

TPFH is supported by industry donations and accepts donations of financial support for its operations, communication efforts and recognition of partners. TPFH also accepts donations of tile, installation materials, tile tools, cleaners and sealers, labor, and installation training for Habitat projects. MAKE A PLEDGE

TPFH is guided by seven industry organizations whose representatives sit on its board of directors, including the Ceramic Tile Distributors Association, Ceramic Tile Education Foundation, Ceramic Tile Institute of America, National Tile Contractors Association, The Tile Doctor, Tile Council of North America, and Tile Heritage Foundation.
