Habitat for Humanity
of Benton County
(Arkansas, August 2004)
Laticrete provided thinset and SpectraLock grout for
a total of 1,000 square feet of tiled floorspace in
the Penn home in Decatur, Arkansas, in Benton County.
Technical Sales Representative Bobby Mitchell spent
two days working onsite with the Penn family and other
industry and community volunteers, including nearly
50 representatives of Wal-Mart’s corporate office,
teaching them to set tile and use Laticrete products.
The affiliate and volunteers used leftover materials
to tile an additional Habitat home one month later
in Decatur, located directly across the street from
the Penn home.
From Bobby Mitchell, Technical Sales Representative
for Laticrete:
“I remember the homeowners coming in and meeting
them and their grandson. It’s just knowing that
you’re doing something that’s helping out
tremendously, helping this man who has done so much
to help others in his life. Habitat did really well
to have everything set up and that made a great impression.
It amazed me how well the volunteers picked up the
installation process. They are some smart people – very
eager and enthusiastic to help.”
