I think this partnership will help us educate our affiliates across the country to the importance of building a house that is usable by the families and which, by its very nature, will be easy to clean and the families will be able to keep clean at a very minimal expense.

HFH of Bowling Green/Warren County: three-house build (Kentucky, July 2004)

James Hardie Building Products donated 134 boards of ¼ inch Hardibacker tile backerboard to cover 2,000 square feet for three homes in Bowling Green, Kentucky, in July 2004. James Hardie Sales Representative Tim Bordas also donated his time to work with volunteers to teach them to install the boards.

From Stacey Otto, Product Manager for James Hardie Building Products:

“James Hardie Building Products was honored to have the opportunity to participate in this project. We certainly admire the contribution that the organization is making to the community, as well as its commitment to providing affordable housing. As a company, we’ve been very fortunate with our growth, and we felt this was an excellent opportunity for us to give back and to make a positive difference.”
