I think this partnership will help us educate our affiliates across the country to the importance of building a house that is usable by the families and which, by its very nature, will be easy to clean and the families will be able to keep clean at a very minimal expense.

Pittsburgh Project: Atlanta Habitat for Humanity
(Georgia, November/December 2004)

James Hardie Building Products donated Hardibacker tile backerboard for six Habitat homes in Atlanta, Georgia. Several JHBP representatives, including Regional Manager Gordon McKnight and Sales Representatives Gary Greaves and Matt Tyson, also donated several days to teach volunteers to install both Hardibacker and tile. On several days, the JHBP representatives also worked with Habitat volunteers to install Hardiplank, another JHBP product.
