From John McMullen, senior vice president for Custom Building Products:

“Custom Building Products is a successful company, and we feel a sense of responsibility to share our success by helping with the growth and development of our community. Habitat for Humanity is an organization whose values and good work we have tremendous respect for and we are proud to support their efforts.”

Custom Building Products:
Habitat for Humanity of Orange County
(California, April 2004)

Custom Building Products donated installation materials and training to tile five Habitat for Humanity homes in Costa Mesa, California, in April 2004. The five houses included the 100th house built by Habitat for Humanity of Orange County. Industry partners donated materials to cover nearly 3,000 square feet of floor and wall space and trained Habitat crewleaders to install the tile in the homes.

Custom donated surface preparation materials, including Wonderboard and RedGard Waterproofing and Anti-Fracture Membrane, as well as setting materials, grout, tools, and sealers. Custom Technical Service Representatives Kory Jones and John Alldredge spent a day training 25 crewleaders to install tile so they could train volunteers for future projects. Custom is based in nearby Seal Beach, California.
