From Adero Burbridge, New Homeowner, Charlotte, North Carolina:

“ The partnership between Tile Partners for Humanity and Habitat for Humanity has truly been a blessing to me and my family. Not only is the tile decorative but also durable which I need with two growing boys! This partnership not only enabled me to get tile but also future Habitat Homeowners. I love the fact that out of my blessing came blessings for others.”

TPFH participated in a Habitat for Humanity Charlotte build in June 2003. Crossville Tile and Stone in Charlotte donated 300 square feet of tile and all of the tile installation materials for the home. Paul Wilson, the Tile Doctor and Assistant Director of the CTIOA, worked with homeowner Adero Burbridge and other local volunteers to tile the home. NATTCO donated tile installation tools used in the project. DIY-Do It Yourself Network taped the entire building process of the home for a new five-part workshop to premiere on the network this fall titled, Lending a Hand: Habitat for Humanity. Tile installation is part of the five-episode program, which aired in September 2003 on the DIY Network. The program is part of a national public affairs partnership between DIY and Habitat for Humanity International.
