Clare County Habitat for Humanity (Michigan,
February/March 2005)
Laticrete donated setting materials, including
thinset mortar and sanded grout, to set 500 square
feet of Hardibacker tile backerboard and floor
tile in two Habitat for Humanity homes in Harrison,
Michigan. Laticrete’s John Holliday, senior
technical representative in Michigan, donated
time with Dan Welch of Welch Tile in Kent City,
Michigan, and Joe Tinghitella of James Hardie
Building Products to train volunteers to install
tile in the homes. The industry members worked
with students in the building trades class at
the Mid-Michigan Community College in Harrison.
The nearly 50 students came from five area high
schools and have expressed interest in entering
a trade, possibly the tiling industry, following
graduation.
Habitat for Humanity of Bay County (Michigan,
October 2004)
Habitat for Humanity of Muskegon County (Michigan, September 2004)
Habitat for Humanity of Mason County (Michigan, September 2004)
Laticrete donated setting materials, including
thinset mortar and SpectraLock grout, to tile
one home in Bay City, three in Muskegon, and
one in Ludington in Mason County. Local contractors
and volunteers donated time to install the tile
in the Habitat homes.
Habitat for Humanity of Benton County (Arkansas,
February 2005)
Laticrete donated setting materials, including
thinset mortar and sanded grout, to set 1,100
square feet of floor tile and Hardibacker tile
backerboard in a Habitat home in Rogers, Arkansas.
This marked the third house in Benton County
that Laticrete had helped to tile.
