“Ceramic tile
products are durable, attractive, easy to clean, and
they fit perfectly with our mission to build simple,
decent houses that will last a lifetime. Through the
TPFH partnership, we hope to be able to provide interested
affiliates with tile and installation for as many homes
as they can build!” – Cheryl Massey, Senior
Account Manager, Corporate and Foundation Giving, Habitat
for Humanity International

Materials
- TPFH needs donations of basic ceramic tile, installation materials, tile tools and tile cleaning products.
- Habitat builds SIMPLE homes. Donated tile should be neutral in color, ideally 12x12 or smaller, and without pattern. We are not able to use marble, terrazzo, stone or tile with patterns.
- Materials that are too “high end” for Habitat homes, like the
marble and patterned tile, can be donated to Habitat ReStores for resale to
the general public. Your company can claim a tax deduction in the amount of
the product cost and ALL proceeds benefit the local Habitat affiliate.
- We are providing tile for Habitat floors right now, but may provide tile for walls or countertops in the future.
- Each house plan is different, but 250-400 square feet will tile the kitchen/dining, bathrooms, laundry and entryway in most Habitat homes.
- Companies donating materials to active projects (house builds versus ReStores)
are able to claim UP TO TWICE THE VALUE of the product’s cost through
the enhanced deduction incentive (Internal Revenue Code Section 170e3 for items
donated to an IRS 501c3 public charity).
- Excess tile in your warehouse could provide one or more families with a durable, beautiful floor while your company claims a healthy tax deduction!

Labor
- TPFH has pledged to solicit donated installation labor for the homes our partnership helps to build.
- We need two to three people, professionals and skilled helpers, at a minimum per house.
- Donate labor for one or more builds in your community by helping us tile and grout the homes.
- Wherever possible, we want to TRAIN homeowners, volunteers and affiliates to install tile so that they can install it at future builds. The Ceramic Tile Institute of America is spearheading our training efforts.
- TPFH must build a network of installation professionals across the country who are willing to donate their time and expertise. PLEDGE to be a part of the network and participate in local builds!
- Our industry is able to count installation labor toward our overall pledge to Habitat for Humanity. Contribute to our partnership through your donation of labor!

Funding
- TPFH needs financial support to continue our partnership with Habitat for Humanity.
- We plan to sponsor one house in full per calendar year with TPFH funds.
- We need funding to communicate with industry members, Habitat partners, the media and the public about our partnership.
- We need financing to fund our operational expenses.
- All proceeds will be used exclusively for the service of Habitat for Humanity and our efforts to provide tile for the homes built through the organization.
- Without funding our partnership will not be able to continue. Our goal is
to provide tile for as many Habitat homes as possible – we want to continue
for years to come!!
Review our partnership levels and please sign up today! We look forward to building with you!
